The Sydney Roosters are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former player Robert McDonagh.

McDonagh, Rooster #475, played 55 games for the Club between 1957 and 1961 as a front rower, most notably in the Club’s 1960 Grand Final side.

Outside of football, ‘Bob’ carved out a long-standing career as a highly respected police sergeant. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy.

The Sydney Roosters extend their heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Robert McDonagh at this time.
